The Life That Didn’t Happen

Once upon a time in a very big city there was a small poor orphanage, in that orphanage there was a little girl called Jasmin, she lost her parents when she was 7 years old and from that day she lived in the orphanage, the life there was very hard, the women who work there treat the kids in very bad way, so mostly the kids don’t know what care and love mean. Jasmin used to go to school every day, one day after she was on her way back to the orphanage, she saw old women holding lot of tools and can’t walk easily with them, so she ran as fast as she can and asked her if she wants any help, the old women was happy from Jasmin after she helped her, so she gave her a story as a gift

Jasmin:” what’s that grandma?”

The old woman:” A story my dear “

Jasmin:” Thank you, grandma, I like reading so that’s gift is the best for me “

The old woman:” Make sure dear to read all the story “

Jasmin “: I don’t understand grandma, what you mean?”

The old women “: don’t worry dear, you will understand later “

After the old woman finished what she said, she smiled to Jasmin and entered her home. Jasmin continued her way to the orphanage, she was so happy and excited about what the story include, Jasmin used to read a story every night before she sleeps, so this night she decided to read the story that the old woman gave it to her, she started reading the story and the more she read, the more her face expression change and at one point she opened her eyes widely and said:” No way, that’s impossible".

While Jasmin was reading she noticed that this story is telling everything about her from birth until what she did today before she sleep and there was a lot of empty pages where there is nothing written in it.She was shocked, how can that happen, how can this story tell everything happened with her and why it don’t tell what will happen in the future. Next day Jasmin went again to the house of the old woman she wanted to know from her everything about that story , but when she went there , she didn’t find her and even she didn’t find any home , Jasmin asked all the people who live around if they saw that old woman , but everyone said that there is no one who lives here even there is no house was built , suddenly while Jasmin was asking all the people who live in that place , she found an old man when she asked him , he told her that before many years there was an old woman who lived here but she died from a long time , Jasmin returned to the orphanage , she kept thinking of the story and the old women , everything is complicated she can’t understand what is happening . Day after day , each night before Jasmin sleep, she open that story and read everything happened with her until she reached the end of the story , there were two pages left , Jasmin got scared , does that mean she is going to die ? does this mean her life will stop after two days ?! , she spent her time crying, scared, she don’t want to die, and she doesn't want to leave that life. After two days, Jasmin opened her eyes
Her parents:” Dr., nurses she woke up … she woke up “
Jasmin parents cried from happiness and they hugged her

Jasmin:“what was that? Why I am here? … Mum, dad! … Where I am

Jasmin mom :" honey, you was in coma for 8 years since you was 6 years old and your situation was critical, before two days the doctor told us there is big chance that your heart can stop, but now you are well, you woke up again sweetheart,we missed you

Jasmin recognized that everything she saw was what could happen with her if she wasn’t in coma, she could be orphan, also she understood that the two pages mean that she will wake up from the coma after two days, and the old woman who she saw is real but she died from a long time as Jasmin saw when she was in the coma, so the old woman was the way to let Jasmin know her expected life story.
